I don't think this should be changed here, since the actual wiki is not renamed. Only the language in MediaWiki is renamed. The same for bat-smg -> sgs which was renamed in MediaWiki but not yet the actual wiki. Using interwiki does not work, and won't either.
Somebody needs to set up the updated language names and redirects then before it goes live. :)
What about removing the entire list of interwikis? It's missing wikis created in the last year(s), has issues like this one and is quickly overwritten by importing the main page from Incubator.
Maybe we can just kill the list then.
