Hmm, are these keywords specified somewhere? I think "position" makes more sense than "project".

There is no specification, so feel free to add a position keyword and updates the various authors (old employees, volunteer, contractor, wmf ...) ;p

Maybe we should come up with some more standard fiels, to maybe increase the verbosity of the the information we include on the USERINFO files

They're just yaml keyed information.

So other than the key few (username, email etc which avar tidied up for his GIT tests), not overly...
